Week of May 11, 2026

A light but meaningful week. We polished the iOS app’s navigation and laid groundwork for a richer, Bible-aware study and chat experience that’s beginning to take shape behind the scenes.

Improvements

Bold, cleaner tab bar — The bottom tabs now have a solid background and clearer highlights for better contrast and readability.
Bible‑aware text rendering — We’ve added a new renderer that recognizes Scripture references in text and turns them into tappable links, with better headings, lists, and quotes; you’ll see this as new study and chat experiences roll out.

Behind the scenes

Foundations for chat — Added real‑time chat plumbing and local storage for conversations, and made sure chat data is cleared when you sign out.
New assistant tools — Built capabilities the assistant will use to recall past sermons, link or unlink sermons to services, and create placeholders, with proper read/write safeguards.
Image and service groundwork — The app can now request generated images and fetch service lists, paving the way for future features.
More localization — Added strings for an upcoming “Prepare” area and sermon text‑size controls to improve international support.
